Gottstein Corp. has done industrial service work for food industry giants including Bimbo Bakeries and Cargill
Food processing industry companies in Greater Hazleton, including Bimbo Bakeries, Cargill Meat Solutions and Graham Packaging, have utilized their proximity to a local industrial mechanical contracting firm to efficiently handle projects ranging from factory remodeling to equipment installation at their facilities.
Gottstein Corporation, which began its operations more than 30 years ago, specializes in the installation, setup and mechanical process for large bakeries and processing plants. The services it has provided to local food processing companies have ranged from design build and new facility installations, to relocations and equipment repairs. As the largest millwright in the country, the company can provide a variety of services to the food processing industry, including rigging, pipefitting, facilities maintenance and welding.
The company completely remodeled Bimbo Bakeries’ Humboldt Industrial Park facility to accommodate an existing two-line cake facility and completed the installation of all internal equipment and ingredient systems. At Bimbo Bakeries’ Valmont Industrial Park plant, Gottstein Corporation did an equipment removal and replacement project and handles ongoing maintenance support and conveyor fabrication and installation. Contractors also installed multiple processing and packaging lines, as well as conveyor fabrication and installation, for Cargill and installed cooling water systems and high-pressure compressed air systems for Graham Packaging.
Gottstein Corporation operates its main fabrication plant out of a 40,000 square foot facility in the Humboldt Industrial Park and employs 100 industrial food technicians and 20 engineers. President Ken Gottstein said his company’s “ongoing safety record, good manufacturing practices and employee skillset training help food processing corporations complete their individual project requirements in a timely manner.”
